Damien introduces Alex as the new Creative Director and explains the purpose of the meeting.
DAMIEN
Guinness want to increase
their female market share.
So we'll need
a new product name and campaign.
DAMIEN
And talking of women, we have a new one.
This is our
new creative director, Alex, um
Uh Um
Fox.
ALEX
Correct.
DAMIEN
And she's gonna be
running point on this pitch with me.
ALEX
Wow, thank you.
ALEX
I wanted to say--
DAMIEN
Right. Let's get into it.
The team begins suggesting names for the new product.
MAN 1
Guinness Pink.
DAMIEN
Mm.
MAN 1
Guinness Femme.
Guinness Girl.
DAMIEN
Love it. Immediately,
women know this is for them.
Above all, women
just want to feel heard, right?
ALEX
I think they want to be heard.
DAMIEN
That's the same thing. It's what I said.
The men laugh. Austin begins presenting another idea.
AUSTIN
Okay, there's this girl.
Incredibly fit.
AUSTIN
She takes a Guinness,
takes a swig, gives her a foam mustache.
Tagline, "Can't grow a mustache."
"Well, Guinness Girl's got you."
AUSTIN
'Cause girls can't grow mustaches,
can they?
DAMIEN
Yeah, thank God.
The men laugh.
ALEX
They They wanted us
to target women, not not girls.
MAN 1
I've got one. The St. Pauli Girl, right?
DAMIEN
From the beer. The German.
MAN 1
Mit der goldenen Globen, mein Fhrer.
The men laugh.
MAN 1
Heil Titler.
The team continues developing the idea.
MAN 1
So we create our own Guinness Girl.
MAN 2
But she's so much hotter.
MAN 2
And not Germanic.
MAN 2
And they make out.
DAMIEN
That's good.
MAN 2
And then she and the, uh
the St. Pauli Girl have a pub fight,
and there's Guinness,
and foam, and mustache, and--
ALEX
Do we want
to tie alcohol to violence, though?
MAN 2
They're fighting. It's skin on skin.
They're ripping each other's clothes--
DAMIEN
Yeah, but hold on.
ALEX
And it's--
ALEX
Are we sure we wanna tie
alcohol to violence, though?
DAMIEN
That's smart.
MAN 1
So true.
MAN 2
You're right. We That's valid.
DAMIEN
Wait, I got it. This is the one.
Damien presents another idea to the team.
DAMIEN
Two women walk into a pub.
We're shooting them from behind.
And then the camera comes around,
and we reveal
it's actually two blokes dressed as women.
MAN 2
And they're making out.
ALEX
No, that's inappropriate.
DAMIEN
Alex, I'm in the middle of an idea,
but it's good to have you in the room.
I appreciate it.
Damien continues explaining the idea.
DAMIEN
Anyway, so these blokes go to the bar,
and they order,
"Two Guinness Girls, please."
DAMIEN
So it's like women,
but we know they're blokes.
The team laughs.
DAMIEN
And then comes the tag.
"Guinness Girl. It's so good,
it makes men wish they were women."
The team reacts enthusiastically to the idea.
MAN 3
I love that. It's
DAMIEN
It's feminist.
MAN 2
That's epic. That's epic.
DAMIEN
Alex, thoughts?
Alex pauses before answering.
ALEX
It's
incredible.
ALEX
Thank you. It's great
to have you in the room.
