Restaurant: Formal Dinner - Teacher Notes

Run the role-play as host, waiter, sommelier, and cashier.

How to Run

Formal restaurant English with real-life details

Waiter serving a formal dinner table
Student device: Open game-restaurant/student.html. The student sees one scene at a time and can open the mini menu.
Teacher voice: Speak warmly but professionally. Use natural phrases: "Certainly", "Let me check with the kitchen", "Would you like a few more minutes?"
Challenge style: Add one complication per scene only after the student gives a basic answer. The goal is confidence, not speed alone.
Realism: Ask about reservation name, allergies, water preference, steak doneness, sides, card split, and surcharge.
